About Mia

Mia Rankin is a writer and maker of zines, creating on Gadigal land. Imbued with a love for 80s indie pop, a lot of their zines focus heavily on music and pop culture; however, they also aim to explore themes of mental health and everyday life in their work. Deeply influenced by the DIY ethos of movements such as the Dunedin sound as well as artists including Courtney Barnett and The Cleaners from Venus, the majority of Mia's zines are completely analog and drawn by hand.
